Jason Buera
Biography
Jason is entering his third year of coaching rep volleyball. Last season, he led his 12U girls team to a Division 4, Tier 1 fourth-place finish at the Ontario Championships.
As a player, Jason competed at the varsity level throughout high school, specializing as a defensive specialist and outside hitter. His passion for coaching was reignited when his seven-year-old daughter expressed an interest in learning the game.
With a strong emphasis on fundamentals and grassroots skill development, Jason founded Volleyball Fundamentals & Training, a program dedicated to developing athletes ages 8 to 13. His attention to detail, combined with his supportive and positive coaching style, creates an encouraging environment for athletes beginning their competitive volleyball journey.
Coaching Philosophy
Jason believes in building a strong technical foundation for young athletes. His coaching emphasizes fundamentals first, creating a love for the game while developing the skills needed for future success at higher levels.
